Men's shirts are available in a variety of styles and quality.  Most men spend hours in their work shirts, so its important to choose the right one.

Here are some tips to choose a high quality dress shirt:

1.  Check the shirt label for ply count. Higher quality dress shirts are made of two-ply and the fabrics are stronger and softer. Look for thread counts over 100.

2. Check to see that buttons are cross stitched as they stay on longer.

3. Examine the shirt sleeves a couple inches above the cuff for a gauntlet button that closes up the sleeve.

4.  Ensure the shirt has collar stiffeners with slits allowing for the removal of the stiffeners.  Collar stiffeners ("bones") make sure the collar lies flat against the collar bones.  Collar stiffeners should always be removed before washing or dry cleaning the shirt.
